CONNECT 2023 will have its own very distinctive north African flair as we journey back to Morocco for unrivalled networking and hospitality.
Tangier is the capital of the region Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima and one of the oldest continually inhabited cities. Founded by the Phoenicians, the city opens like an amphitheatre-shaped watchtower onto the Strait of Gibraltar. The city has its own shorelines of beautiful and extended beaches on both the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts.
This has always been a meeting point for intellectuals and artists from all over the world. Through its alleyways have walked global figures from the world of art and music, such as Truman Capote, Delacroix, Matisse, the Rolling Stones, Picasso, Tennessee Williams and Paul Bowles. Tangier is also the setting of a multitude of films and books, especially of the film noir and espionage genres, the fruits of stories derived from Tangier’s past as an International Zone.
